Online Desk: A get together and iftar party was organized by South Asian Youth Association (Saya) for foreign students who are studying in different private medical colleges in Dhaka. More than 150 students from various South Asian countries including India and Nepal participated in it.
The get together and iftar party was organized on Tuesday (April 4) at 5.20 pm in the Cafe Metro Restaurant conference room in Dhaka.
President of t SAYA’s Naeem Mia presided over the event. SAYA member Kamrul Hasan moderated the program. The organization's advisory board and current and former members were present.
Naeem Mia, president of this organization, said, “Bangladesh is a friendly country. We will introduce our culture to your culture. If you face any difficulties moving around or adjusting to living at your educational institution, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are committed to your cooperation."
He also said, "We are pleased that you chose Bangladesh to receive an education from various South Asian nations and that you attended today's iftar party.Thank you for that."
chief guest of the program Dr. Minhajul Abedin said, “South Asian Youth Association is working to empower the youth of South Asia. So that the youth of this region can play a global role with their skills and work for global humanity."
Students from different countries also gave greetings on the occasion. They said in their speech, South Asian Youth Association is giving us an opportunity to exchange cultural ideas with other countries. Due to all these initiatives, we can easily learn about the surrounding conditions of other countries. Students spontaneously participated in the event and thanked the organizers.
It is worth noting that Since its establishmentthe organization has been conducting various activities among the young students of South Asia who are coming to Bangladesh. Notable among them are South Asian Youth Summit, Youth Leadership Camp, Career Guideline Program, Bengali Language Course, Relief Distribution among the victims etc.
